SABAI Top (Line)
The SABAI top by Paula_m is a beautiful, simple summer top with a bateau neckline that drapes lightly over your body and provides plenty of airiness on hot days. Combine it with wide linen trousers and a casual crochet bag for a classic look. Wear the top with denim shorts and a pair of summer slippers for a cool beach look.
The pattern for the SABAI top contain two versions, namely No. 1 and No. 2, which differ in the design of the neckline edges. SABAI Top No. 1 is knitted with ribbing at the neckline, whereas SABAI Top No. 2 is knitted in stockinette stitch. Due to the lack of rib details, the straps are slightly wider and the top sits a little looser.
Both tops are knitted from the top down. First, the neckline is knitted in rounds and increases are worked for the shoulder slants. For the armholes, the front and back pieces are knitted separately in back and forth rows. The stitches from the front and back are then joined and knitted in the round again. As the top is knitted from the top down, it is possible (and advisable) to try it on while knitting so that the length can be individually adjusted.

The SABAI top is knitted with a positive ease of approx. 0 to 2 cm.
Knitting kit
The knitting kit contains the required amount of Sandnes - Line (53 % cotton, 33 % viscose, 14 % linen) in your desired color for your size as well as optional PDF knitting pattern. You will also need 4.0 mm knitting needles (or needles matching the gauge of the gauge swatch).
